Workshop held on ‘Yoga & Meditation in Context of Kashmir Shaivism’

JAMMU, Feb 7: A seven-day workshop on “Yoga and Meditation in the Context of Kashmir Shaivism” concluded today under the aegis of the Center for Comparative Religion and Civilization, Central University of Jammu.
Amid Vedic invocation, Director CCRC Dr Ajay Kumar Singh welcomes the keynote speaker J Nandkumar (National Convenor, Pragya Pravah), special guest Pradeep (National Convenor, CSR Vidya Bharti) and Vice Chancellor CUJ, Prof Sanjeev Jain, who was chief guest on the occasion.
J Nandkumar, while discussing about his newly released book “Self Struggle for National Selfhood”, highlighted various topics of the Indian freedom struggle and made the youth aware of Indian history.
Special guest Pradeep Kumar, while giving a lecture on the purpose of education, said that everyone will have to make a concerted effort to make India a world guru.
Vice Chancellor Prof Sanjeev Jain highlighted the importance of organizing such workshops.
In this program, the main speaker of the seven-day workshop, Dr R Ramanand, Dr Narendra Bharti and Shashank Sharma, including university teachers, researchers and more than 100 participants were present. The program concluded with certificate distribution and national anthem.
