Doda, Sept 6: The work on the most ambitious project namely All India Institute of High Altitude Medicinal Plant at Kotli (Chabbra) Bhaderwah has been kickstarted.
It is pertinent to mention here that due to the persistence efforts and guidance of Member Parliament Udhampur Doda Constituency and Union Minister of State PMO Dr Jitendra Singh, the work has actually started on the ground, thus fulfilling the dream of the general public of the district.
It has been informed that the establishment of the All India High Altitude Medicinal Plant will boost the medicinal research under Ayush besides will also create more job avenues in the district.
It has been given out that at Kotli (Chabbra) Bhaderwah District Collection Centre which includes 9 sub components viz Administrative block, Auction platform, Storage godowns, canteen, health care centre etc will be constructed aftter surface levelling and removal of big stone blocs from the land will be ensured completely.
Regarding the construction of District Collection Centre it has been given out that the tenders were floated at an estimated cost of Rs. 200 lakh and work has already been now allotted to the contractor which has now started at Bhaderwah.
Moreover at Thanthera, the tender for the construction of compound wall and crate wall at the estimated cost of Rs 158.47 lakh will be floated in the next two three days positively by the executive agency and the work on the aforementioned work is expected to start by the end of this month.
The deadline for the completion of the project has been set for 2 years,but it has been stressed to complete the project earlier to its set deadline by stating that the progress is being monitored very closely.
