NEW DELHI, Feb 12:
Talking tough, Home Minister Rajnath Singh today warned of “strongest possible” action against those involved in raising anti-India slogans at an event in JNU campus here, saying such activities will not be tolerated.
“If anyone raises anti-India slogans, tries to raise questions on country’s unity and integrity, they will not be spared. Stringent action will be taken against them,” he told reporters here.
Meanwhile, amidst the ongoing row over alleged anti-India activities in JNU campus, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju today said the Government will not allow anyone to spread anti-national sentiment in the country.
“It is not acceptable if someone raises anti-India slogans in the country. We will not allow anti-national sentiment to spread,” he told reporters here.
The Minister of State for Home said there is anger in the country over the JNU incident and action has to be taken against those involved in raising anti-India slogans. (PTI)
