UDHAMPUR, Oct 4: The body of a young woman was found hanging with ceiling fan hook at her rented house at Bharat Nagar in Udhampur town today.
According to the police Manju Devi (25), wife of Raj Kumar, resident of Karwal, Ramnagar, at present Bharat Nagar, Udhampur, was found hanging with a ceiling fan hook in her rented room under mysterious circumstances.
Family members saw her hanging and immediately called police. The police party rushed to the spot and took the dead body in custody and then shifted to District Hospital, Udhampur.
Later, the body was sent for postmortem. After completion of all the formalities and postmortem it was handed over the family members.
Meanwhile, family of the deceased suspected it as murder case and demanded proper investigation. The police registered a case under Section 174 CrPC and launched investigation.
