JAMMU, Dec 21: A woman succumbed to her burn injuries at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), here today.
“Poli Devi (45) wife of Ved Raj, resident of Miran Sahib, was undergoing treatment for her burn injuries which she had received at her residence on December 7 when a fire broke out due to leakage of cooking gas,” a police official said.
He said today at 12.50 PM, the woman expired in the hospital. “After postmortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites,” the official said, adding Miran Sahib police had taken cognizance of the matter.
