Woman killed, three injured in Pak shelling along LoC in J-K

JAMMU/SRINAGAR: A 65-year-old woman was killed and three other civilians were injured on Wednesday as Pakistan violated ceasefire by resorting to unprovoked mortar shelling on forward posts and villages along the Line of Control (LoC) in different sectors in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

While the elderly woman was killed in heavy shelling by Pakistan in Poonch district of the Jammu region, two civilians were injured in Tangdhar sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, they said.

A police official identified the deceased woman as Resham Bi, a resident of Sagra village. (AGENCIES)
