Srinagar, May 16: A 49-year-old woman died after she was allegedly hit by a bus in the Limber area of Boniyar in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said today.
The deceased was identified as Naseema Begum, wife of Abdul Raziq Najar and a resident of Limber Boniyar.
Officials said the accident involved a bus bearing registration number JK01B-4447.
They said the woman sustained serious injuries in the incident and was immediately shifted to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Sheeri for treatment, where doctors declared her brought dead.
Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident, officials added.
