JAMMU, Oct 28: A woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging self at his residence in Treva area falling under the jurisdiction of police station Arnia.
According to police spokesperson, the woman identified as Surjeet Kour (25), wife of Ajay Kumar, a resident of Kotla Camp, Treva in Arnia sector, hanged herself with the hook of a ceiling fan at her residence, late in the morning when no one was present in the home.
As soon as family members came to know about the incident, they informed the police, who reached the spot and shifted the dead body to mortuary room of Government Hospital Bishnah, where after completing all medico-legal formalities it was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites.
A case in this connection has been registered at police station Arnia and further investigations started.
