JAMMU, Apr 23: The dead body of a young girl was found hanging tonight at Krishna Nagar area of Jammu while a woman died allegedly due to fall from the stairs of her house at Chatha.
“Manisha Devi (22) wife of Bikram Bahadur, resident of Nepal, was found hanging tonight near Guru Ravidass Temple, Krishna Nagar, Jammu where she was presently residing with her husband,” a police official said. He said in unconscious condition the woman was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where she was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
Meanwhile, another woman namely Rekha Sharma (31) wife of Chander Kant Tiwari, resident of Raipur Satwari Patta near Shiv Temple, was found dead with injuries on her body at her residence. Quoting family members of the deceased, the police official said that she allegedly died due to fall from the stairs of her residence.
The official said that both the dead bodies were shifted to mortuary room of the hospital while inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC were initiated in both the cases at concerned police stations.
