JAMMU, Nov 16: A woman was found hanging this evening at her residence in Gharota area of city outskirts.
“The deceased was identified as Aparana (28) wife of Jitesh, resident of Kerala,” a police official said, adding, the dead body of the woman was found hanging this evening from the ceiling fan at her present residence at Malpur, Akhnoor.
He said husband of the deceased is an Army personnel and presently posted at 161 Army Regiment based at Malpur, Akhnoor. “The body has been shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for postmortem while inquest proceeding under Section 174 CrPC initiated in this connection at police station Gharota,” the official added.
