SRINAGAR, Sept 3: Police today said that a man and a woman attempted to commit suicide in Shopian district.
A police spokesman said Alam Din Bijran son of Gula Bijran and his sister-in-law of village Kathuhallan consumed poison at their home. Both of them were shifted to Public Health Center, Keller for treatment, where from they were referred to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar,a police spokesman said.
However, the lady died on way to the hospital, while Alam Din has been admitted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar.
Police has registered a case in this regard.
