RAJOURI, Feb 3: A young woman was killed in a road accident in Nowshera area of district Rajouri last night.
A police spokesman said that Scooty No. JK11/8539, being driven by Kamaljeet Singh, son of Kuldip Singh, resident of Nonial, met with an accident on Nowshera-Nonial road last night, resulting into the serious head injuries to the pillion rider, Paramjeet Kour (35), wife of Pritam Singh of the same village. Kamaljeet also sustained minor injuries.
She was rushed to Sub District Hospital, Nowshera, where doctors provided preliminary treatment and then referred her to GMC Hospital, Jammu. She succumbed to injuries at Jammu. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
