UDHAMPUR, Nov 25: A young woman died while her husband was injured when their Kaccha house collapsed in ward number one of Pattangarh Panchayat of Udhampur District.
The incident took place early this morning due to sudden breakage of wooden log and consequent collapse of the house resulting into the tragedy.
Additional SP Udhampur, Anwar-ul-Haq informed that a police team rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident and evacuated the injured person from the debris.
The injured person, namely Rattan Lal, son of Des Raj of Pattangarh was shifted to the Community Health Centre in Chenani for treatment where doctors referred him to District Hospital Udhampur.
The deceased was identified as Anju Devi (32), wife of Rattan Lal. She had reportedly died on the spot.
