UDHAMPUR, July 29: In a bizarre case, a woman gave birth to child in a passenger bus, parked outside the Community Health Centre (CHC) Ramnagar, here today.
The woman, who was being brought to the CHC by an ASHA worker in the bus from village Maarta after she developed labour pains, could not be shifted inside the hospital because of emergency situation.
Gynecologist Dr Anita Gupta along with her team entered the bus and ensured safe delivery. Mother along with newly born is reported to be safe and sound. Both of them were later shifted inside the hospital and admitted there for recuperation.
The woman was identified as Meena Devi, wife of Mukesh Kumar of Maarta. The newly born is her third child.
