JAMMU, June 12: A woman made an abortive attempt attempted on her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Marh area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, the woman has been identified as Suman Devi (28) wife of Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Sujalpur, Marh. The woman was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment but later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, in view of her serious condition.
The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter. However, it was not known why the lady took this extreme step.
