UDHAMPUR, Apr 28: A house wife committed suicide by setting herself ablaze at the house of her-in laws at village Pannara, Block Majalta, here today.
The deceased has been identified as Chanchla Devi (45) wife of Rattan Chand of village Pannara. She allegedly sprinkled kerosene oil on her body and then set herself ablaze. Family members took her to Primary Health Center Majalta but she succumbed to her burn injuries.
Cause behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
