JAMMU, July 17: Bishnah police arrested a woman and recovered illicit liquor from her possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bishnah Police Station laid a naka at village Joian and intercepted a woman, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 5 litres of illicit liquor and arrested the woman, who has been identified as Ayodhaya Devi, wife of late Bachan Lal, a resident of Joian.
A case under FIR Number 136/18 under Section 48-F Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Rajesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Sourabh Prashar, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
