JAMMU, Aug 16: Channi Himmat and Pargwal police arrested two persons including a woman along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, a team from police station Channi Himmat laid a surprised naka at Channi Rama and intercepted a woman pedestrian.
During search of her belongings, police recovered 110 pouches of liquor and arrested the lady.
A case under FIR Number 93/17 has been registered at police station Channi Himmat and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Channi Himmat Inspector Sajjad Mir made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Arun Jamwal and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
Meanwhile, a team from Pargwal police post laid a surprised naka near Power Station Pargwal and apprehended a person along with 40 pouches of illicit liquor.
A case under FIR Number 55/17 has been registered at police station Khour and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Pargwal police post ASI Kuldeep Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Khour SI Jeet Singh, SDPO Akhnoor Munish Anand and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
