JAMMU, Feb 23: Gandhi Nagar Police booked two persons including a woman for cheating a man of Rs 5 lakh.
As per police sources, complaint was lodged by a man namely Prince Khajuria (Proprietor Chander Bhaga Advertising Agency), son of Sat Paul Khajuria, a resident of 28/A Extension Gandhi Nagar, District Jammu with Police Station Gandhi Nagar stating that a couple identified as Pranav Gandotra and his wife Pooja Wattal, residents of Royal Palm Flats Paloura, Jammu took Rs 5 lakh for treatment of Pranav Gandotra’s mother and issued three cheques on the name of his wife, which got bounced when processed in bank.
“They are not responding to my repeated calls, which I made to get my amount back”, the complainant stated.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 47/2022 under Section 420 IPC has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and hunt has been launched to nab the couple.
