JAMMU, July 25: Arnia and Bishnah police arrested three persons including a woman along with illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Arnia Police Station led by SHO Inspector Harjeet Singh laid a naka at Kathar and intercepted a car bearing registration number JK02CG-1231.
During checking, police team recovered 52 bottles of illicit liquor from the vehicle and arrested two persons traveling in the car.
The arrested persons were identified as Pishan Singh, son of Amar Singh of Rajwalta Billawar, District Kathua and Ghar Singh, son of Jagat Ram of Sai Kalan (Moil) Tehsil Suchetgarh District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 46/2020 under section 48 (A) Excise Act and 188 IPC has been registered at Police Station Arnia and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Bishnah Police Station led by SHO Inspector Tahir Yousaf Khan conducted raid in village Makhanpur Charkan and apprehended a lady along with 20 litres of illicit liquor, which she was selling to the people.
The arrested lady has been identified as Kashmiro Devi, wife of Mela Ram of Village Mahkanpur Charkan Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 120/2020 under section 48 (A) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation initiated.
