Woes of public increased in BJP-PDP regime: Manohar

BILLAWAR,  Sept 11: Former minister  and senior Congress leader Dr Manohar Lal Sharma has alleged the sufferings of the people have increased during the BJP-PDP regime in the State.
While addressing a meeting of the party workers  at village Parnala in Billawar  today, the Congress leader criticized the Government and alleged that it was  deliberately  ignoring the genuine demands of the people. He further said that all the development works of public importance started by the previous Govt  have totally neglected  without any reason due to which the general public is facing hardships. He said that the BJP and its allies are harassing the  public even after getting massive mandate.
Dr Sharma leveled allegation against  present dispensation in the State for  indulging in corrupt practices  and making money by unfair means and giving shelter to the corrupt officers who set aside all the rules and regulations for personal gains. He alleged that some ministers are minting  money through large scale transfers and ignoring the dedicated employees/officers.
The Congress leader strongly criticized the economic policies adopted by NDA Government which leads the nation towards bankruptcy. He said the  present  NDA  Government is spending money on unproductive works which leads to great threat to national economy like expenditure on publicity of schemes through print and electronic media including full size display of hoardings and wasteful  foreign tours of Prime Minister, other minisrers/ MPs and bureaucrates and hike in their salaries and other perks.
Dr Sharma sought explanation from BJP  why the Central Government is kind enough to  waive off  one lakh ten thousand crore loans of  Corporate houses, ignoring the genuine demand of the farmers for waive of Agriculture  loans due to which several farmers committed suicide.
CD Gupta, Virender Sharma,, Romesh Kumar, Mukesh Kumar, Sham Sapolia, Romesh Sapolia, Budhi Singh  and Jagdev Singh also spoke on the occasion.
