JAMMU, Dec 28: Natrang’s “Winter Theatre Workshop for Children” commenced here today at Natrang Studio Theatre, Jammu.
Aimed at giving Jammu Children one of the rarest opportunities to explore their immense inner abilities, this training programme exclusively devised by Natrang Director Padamshree Balwant Thakur incorporates the latest techniques of intellectual development and personality exploration. Through latest developed modules in Europe and USA, the participating children will be exposed to the new techniques of acquiring self confidence and creative outlet.
Thirty children have been shortlisted to undergo training in this Workshop. This 10 days winter theatre camp will focus on acting training, speech modulation, creative imagination exercises and stagecraft.
This year’s winter workshop is being conducted by Aarushi Thakur who after graduating from St Stephens College, New Delhi, did her Masters from University of Leicester, United Kingdom and has undertaken training from Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, London. The workshop is being coordinated by Mohammad Yaseen, National Scholarship holder in Theatre.
The children participating in the workshop include Mudabbir Latifi, Mudakkir Latifi, Puneesh Singh Manhas, Sumedha Manhas, Ishu Bharati Pandit, Porshia Bisht, Aviral Kapoor, Mohammad Aazan, Zitin Kaul, Devisha Gour, Pragya Misra, Shruti Bhasin, Aanandita Sethi, Mohit Kalsi, Arnav Veer Singh, Prial Tickoo, Agam Kour, Devina Tickoo, Anirudh Vikram Singh Bisht, Shambhavi, Uddhav Pratap, Pranay Chinna, Ananya Gupta, Irtiqa Tariq, Yudhvir Singh, Jatinder Singh Bali, Akhileshwar Singh Charak, Adhiraj Singh Charak, Abhijay Singh Charak and Yashwarya Charak.
