JAMMU, Jan 6: In order to provide warmth and comfort during the harsh winter days, Jammu Helping Hands’ Interact Club, a youth-led group under Rotary Club Jammu distributed winter clothes among the children living in the slums of Trikuta Nagar here today.
The Interact Club came up with an innovative idea to encourage the children to contribute towards the environment. Alongside collecting warm clothes for the children, the club requested the children to bring plastic waste in exchange for the clothes.
The warm clothes, generously donated by individuals and organizations, were distributed among the children, bringing smiles to their faces and warmth to their bodies.
The members explained that their aim was not only to provide children with warm clothing but also to instil in them a sense of responsibility towards the environment.
Among others who were present on the occasion included Anvi Gupta, Asmie Gupta, Bhavya, Ashwika,Katyani, Laksh, Tejas, Anurag, Ashmeet and Akash.
