Will not allow anyone to create hindrance in construction of power projects: DC

KISHTWAR, June 1: In view of circulation of provocative and misleading information by some miscreants and unregistered unions and organizations to instigate the unemployed youth of the district against the Power Project Management of Pakal Dul Project and District Administration, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana said that the administration will not allow anyone to create hindrance in the construction of power projects.
He stated this while interacting with media persons, here today. DC was flanked by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Abrar Ahmed Chowdhary during the press conference.
DC stated that the work of Pakal Dul Power Project has started and other projects are in pipeline, adding that the administration would act tough against rumour mongers and blackmailer who are trying to create hindrance in execution of Pakal Dul Hydro Power Project and other prestigious projects being executed in district Kishtwar.
He said that unfortunately some persons and unregistered unions and organizations are misguiding the educated unemployed youth by spreading fake information regarding engagement of skilled and unskilled youth from outside the State by AFCON Private Limited Company.
He warned the rumour mongers not to spread any misleading and provocative information among youth of district through social media which some persons are doing since last few weeks. He said that their acts are bound to unnecessarily create the law and order problem in the otherwise smoothly and peacefully working district.
DC informed that the advertisements for employment will be advertised publicly through print and social media for both skilled and unskilled unemployed youth of district Kishtwar within days.
SSP Kishtwar Abrar Ahmed Chowdhary said that it is intolerable to allow anyone to create disturbance during construction of Pakal Dul Hydro Electric Power Project in Kishtwar as it’s a better chance for the unemployed youth of the district to get job after advertisement of the notification of several posts.
He also warned that district administration and Kishtwar Police will take strict action against the erring persons and organizations, who will try to mint money illegally out of this power project.
“The company has not engaged any outsider, even in initial stages, the company has engaged only 20 staff out of which 18 belongs to Dool area and 2 from Kishtwar town, SSP added.
