JAMMU, Jan 16: Alleging that the previous Government did not take seriously the issue of lack of infrastructure in Government run educational institutions, MLA RS Pura, Dr Gagan Bhagat today said that it will be his priority to provide adequate infrastructure to these institutions.
While inaugurating developmental works at Government High School at Kalyana Plots and at village Jindlehar, Dr Gagan said that the present infrastructure at the Government run institutions is not sufficient to provide quality education to the students, and this is the single reason why the poor students have no option left except to take admissions in the private educational institutions.
He said that while the Government is having well qualified and adequate staff and is focusing to improve the work culture in the Government institutions, these poor infrastructures make things more worse.
He assured that he will set an example by improving the infrastructure as well as other important things which are missing at present in the Government Educational institutions. He alleged that the previous Government led by the NC-Congress never took this problem seriously and rather it was busy in minting money through “Transfer Industry”.
Appreciating the role of the Union Government in helping the Jammu and Kashmir through Centrally sponsored schemes, he appealed the general public to take advantage of these schemes which are meant for the poor and deserving people.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Tehsildar RS Pura, Abhishek Abrol, SDPO RS Pura, Harjeet Singh, ZEO RS Pura, Ranjeet Kour, AEE PWD, Arvind Langeh, BDO RS Pura, Sanchi Mishra and BJP RS Pura president, Natharam.
