JAMMU, Jan 16: Two persons were injured today in a road mishap in Dummi area falling under the limits of police station Kanachak.
According to a police spokesperson, two teachers identified as Jagdev Singh (34) son of Pritam Singh, a resident of Domana and Virta Atri (36) wife of Rajesh, a resident of Canal Road, were injured this morning when the car bearing registration number JK02BB-8023 they were travelling in, was hit by a bus bearing registration number JK02AN-2727 on Jammu-Akhnoor Road at Dummi.
Both the injured teachers were immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where their condition was stated to be stable till the last reports came in.
A case in this connection was registered at police station Kanachak and efforts were on to nab the accused bus driver, who managed to escape from the spot. However, the police have seized both the vehicles involved in the mishap.
