JAMMU, June 1: White Knight Corps, based near here commemorated its 49th Raising Day today.
GOC, White Knight Corps, Lt General Harsha Gupta complimented all ranks for their outstanding constribuition in maintaining vigil on the Line of Control and ensuring peace and tranquility in the hinterland. The GOC paid floral tributes at ” Ashwamedh Shaurya Sthal” with full military honours, a Defence spokesmn said.
The spokesman further said that the White Knight Corps was raised on June Ist, 1972 and is operationally committed in pursuit of guarding and maintaining the sanctity of the Line of Control and combating terrorism. It is also actively involved in various empowerment programmes for the local population in the region.
The GOC exhorted upon all the ranks of the White Knight Corps to continue doing the assigned tasks in a professional manner and to keep the flag of the formation flying high always.
