NEW DELHI, May 20: Wheat prices declined by Rs 5 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today on adequate stocks position against reduced offtake by flour mills.
However, other grains held steady in thin trade.
Marketmen said adequate stocks position on increased arrivals from producing belts against reduced offtake by flour mills mainly led to the decline in wheat prices.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) shed Rs 5 at Rs 1,735-1,740 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 1,740-1,745 per 90 kg.
