JAMMU, Feb 19: By the order of Lieutenant Governor, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has re-constituted some welfare advisory boards and governing bodies of two Corporations.
J&K Advisory Board for the Welfare and Development of Other Backward Classes, J&K Advisory Board for the Development of Pahari Speaking People, J&K Advisory Board for the Welfare and Development of Schedule Castes and J&K Social Welfare Board have been reconstituted.
Headed by Lieutenant Governor as the Chairman, the Welfare Advisory Board for OBCs is comprised of Advisor Farooq Khan as vice-Chairman and ten official members, who include Administrative Secret-aries of Finance Department, Revenue Department, Planning Development & Monitoring Department, Social Welfare Department, GAD, Department of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs and Director Social Welfare Jammu/Kashmir.
The Advisory Board for the Development of Pahari Speaking People is also headed by the Lt Governor as Chairman while Advisor Farooq Khan is the vice-Chairman. Administr-ative Secretaries of Finance Department, Planning Develop-ment & Monitoring Department, Social Welfare Department and School Education Department besides Secretary of Academy of Art, Culture & Languages are members of this board.
The Advisory Board for the Welfare and Development of Schedule Castes is headed by Advisor Farooq Khan as Chairman while Chief Secretary J&K, Administrative Secretaries of Finance Department, Planning, Development & Monitoring Department, Social Welfare Department, GAD and Director Social Welfare Jammu are the Special Invitee.
Board of Director of J&K development Corporation has been re-constituted with Advisor Farooq Khan as Chairman while Administrative Secretaries of Finance Department, Planning, Development & Monitoring Department, Social Welfare Department and Managing Director of the Corporation are its Directors.
The Board of Director of J&K Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation has been re-constituted with Advisor Farooq Khan as its Chairman and 13 Members, who include Administrative Secretaries of Finance Department, Planning, Development & Monitoring Department, Social Welfare Department and representatives of some Central Government Ministries and Corporations.
Advisor Farooq Khan is also heading the governing Committee for J&K Child Protection Society with Administrative Secretaries of Finance Department, Planning, Development & Monitoring Department, Social Welfare Department, H&ME, School Education, Labour & Employment and Department of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs as its members.
The Governing Body of J&K Social Welfare Board is also headed by Advisor Farooq Khan while Administrative Secretaries of Finance Department, Health & Medical Education Department, Social Welfare Department, School Education and the Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj are members of the Board.
The Governing Council for Rehabilitation of Widows, Orphans, Handicapped and old Persons (victims of militancy) has been re-constituted with Lt Governor as its Chairman and Chief Secretary J&K as the Vice-Chairman besides nine Members.
J&K Skill Development Mission and its Governing Council have also been reconstituted. Lt Governor is Chairman of the Skill Development Mission awhile its Governing Council is headed by Advisor K K Sharma.
