Week-long programme to celebrate Kal Bharav Ashtami starts

JAMMU, Nov 25: The weeklong religious programme to celebrate Shri Kal Bharav Ashtami started here today at ancient Kal Bharav temple in Dhontly Bazar in the heart of old Jammu city.
In this regard a Prabhat Pheri was organised today at 5:00 am in which devotees of Shri Kal Bharav Ji passed through different streets of the city reciting devotional songs and slogans in praise of the deity.
This was followed by a bike rally which started from Kal Bharav temple and reached till Bari Brahmana after passing through Jewel, Gandhi Nagar, Satwari etc.
Tomorrow there shall be a Bhandara while on Nov 27 there will be a special Bhandara (Batuk Bhandara) for children.
The head priest of the temple Pandit Rumil Sharma said that on Nov 29 there will be a mass congregation of 52 Biradaris where a Bhandara will also be organised for the whole day.
The organisers have invited the people of all communities to participate in this weeklong spiritual programme which will culminate on Nov 30.
