Week long communal harmony festival enters day-3

JAMMU, Nov 21: In continuation with the week long communal harmony festival, the NSS volunteers , students of Shivalik College and Happy Model School , today entered third day of the week long festivals, today.
There were four sessions held, in session first, the college students presented group songs on Themes of Patriotism and Unity. The students of group 2 and 10 joyfully sang their popular harmony song ” Mera Mulkh Mera Desh – Mera Yeh Vatan…”
The students made presentation on the key words in the two songs . They emphasized that diversity in India is an example of Inherent Unity. India stands as a fine example before the Globe to show That It is a land of Peace , tolerance , Love , affection and brotherhood.
In session two, the schools students also presented group songs of harmony. The students of class 2nd , 4th and 55th sang the melodious song ” Bachey Maan Ke Sacchey.” The students of class 6th sang ” Itni shakti Hamey Deena Daata. ”
In the 3rd session, the Hindu Priests from the ISKON temle Udhampur lead by Sudershan Dass Ji and other three namely Parmeshwar Dass Ji , Vaishno Dass Ji , Bakat Dass Ji , in a most beautiful manner explained the three element of communal Harmony namely , Peace – Love – Tolerance – Brotherhood to the students and staff.
Vaishno Dass gave an impressive talk on the topic Love and Harmony through Bhakti , while a talk on Diversity in India – a case for harmony was delivered by Parneshwar Dass Ji.
In the 4th session, a signature campaign was launched . In this campaign the guests , the staff , and the students put down their signatures and took an oath to always work for communal harmony and strengthening National Integration.
The programme ended with the singing of National Anthem.
