This has reference to the news item ‘Several Ministers, separatists join unending list of crorepatis in J&K’ DE Nov 20.
The presence of Crorepatis in the election fray in the State does not surprise any one. This is due to the fact that contesting an election is an expensive game, and ordinary people can’t participate in it except casting their ‘Valuable ‘ vote.
The election process has remained confined to ‘Crorepatis Club’ only. And contesting an election does not pinch them. Rather, it brings them name and fame and in public discourse.
