JAMMU, June 2: The first webinar on ‘Strategies for Leading the Change: Post COVID-19 Response of India’ was held successfully on the topic ‘Strategies for leading change in the Management Education’.
The webinar was hosted by Institute of Public Enterprises (IPE), Hyderabad along with School of Business, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) and Bhartiya Shikshan Mandal, Nagpur.
The webinar series was inaugurated by Padma Shree Ravindra Kr. Sinha, Vice Chancellor SMVDU where in inaugural address he emphasized on the requirement for designing the management programme in such a way that the educators and students are equipped with the skills to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The thought provoking opening address of the webinar series was given by Mukul Kanitkarji, All India Organizing Secretary, BSM Nagpur.
He called for the indigenous management practices and models.
Kanitkar also cautioned about the use of Bhartiya literature and texts such as Ramayna and Mahabharata in management education as a fad.
The panel of speakers included Prof. R.K Mishra, Director IPE, Hydearabad, who explained the requirement for installing the academic integrity and improving the quality of research in the management education.
Prof. Subhash Sharma, Director IBA, Bangaluru provided the Bhartiya Model of management.
Dr. Rajeshwari Narendran, Head of Management MLSU, Udaipur explained the use of technology in management education, Dr. AshutoshVashsitha, Assoc. Prof. SMVDU emphasized on including and promoting swadeshi in management education.
The session concluded with words of gratitude and invitation on the next webinar in the series i.e. on the topic Sectoral experiences and challenges for India, Post COVID-19.
