Wani urges admn to ensure civic amenities to people

DODA, June 29: Former minister and senior Congress leader from Doda, Majid Wani has urged upon the Governor’s administration to ensure civic amenities to the people of Doda belt and also ensure opening of this road during rainy season.
In a press statement here today, Wani said that the people of Chenab belt are facing scarcity of drinking water and power supply. Many far flung villages are facing power crisis and transformers which do damaged are not replaced for weeks together, causing lot of inconvenience to the public.
He further demanded that concerned PHE authorities be directed to ensure regular supply of water and also alternative tanker service where supply has been affected.
The Congress leader said that since the rainy season has set in, the condition of Batote-Doda-Kishtwar road is very bad at many places. The concerned authorities be directed to deploy machines/ JCB at the troubled areas so that this highway is restored on war footing in view of closure of road due to land slides.
Wani also demanded posting of Medical staff at the hospitals of Doda district as many health institutions are facing shortage of doctors/ medical staff.
