LEH, July 3: The chairman/CEC of LAHDC, Gyal P Wangyal and Executive Councillor for Agriculture and Cooperative, Phuntsog Stanzin today inspected the ongoing construction works of much awaited 1000 Metric tons “Controlled Atmosphere Storage / Cold Storage Facility” at Agling.
Executive Engineer (Xen), Nisar Ahmad briefed both CEC and EC Agriculture that a total Rs 600 lacs was approved for the construction of the project, out of which Rs 544 lakh was spent till date and to complete the same project another Rs 618 lacs was approved under languishing project.
“Arctic Refrigeration Private Limited is constructing the project and will also provide one year running and maintenance services and training to the local engineers and technical staff after its completion,” said Ahmad.
Both Wangyal and Stanzin directed the Executive Engineer Construction Division and official of the Arctic Refrigeration Private Limited to compete the project by the end of August 2020 without any further delay so that farmers can store their Agro-products in upcoming winter months.
Incharge Deputy Registrar Cooperative Leh Skarma Tashi and AEE Construction Division Leh were also present at the site.
