VSICON concludes, 350 delegates participate

JAMMU, Oct 7: The silver jubilee conference of Vascular Society of India, which was organized by the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgey, Government Medical College Jammu alongside Jammu Vascular Society concluded here yesterday.
The conference was attended by more than 350 national and international delegates. The academci and scientific sessions were largely attended and there were more than 125 presentations by eminent faculty. The CME program organized for Post Graduate students had a record number of participants, who underwent hands on training sessions which would help them in their skill development.
Rapid fire session was held to assess the best paper of the session and Dr M Kalipantnapu from Chennai won the Dr R Sekar best paper award of the conference and Dr Pranavy Pawar from Sri Ramchandra Medical Centre Chennai got the best poster award of the VSICON 2018.
Dr Col Kumud Mohan Raj, a senior Vascular Surgeon from Max Hospital Delhi was awarded the Vira Reddy Oration for the year 2018. Joint European Society of Vascular Surgery and VSI session regarding various recent guidelines about Vascular surgery was held during the conference.
Vascular Society of India executive committee apperciated the VSICON 2018 Jammu Team for successful organization of this mega event.
Dr Arvind Kohli thanked the participating distinguished faculty delegates, VSI executive committee members and local organizing committee members for making this event successful.
