JAMMU, Nov 9: All J&K SRTC Volunteers Retired Employees Association (VREA) held a protest demonstration here today.
The protestors led by Dev Raj Bali, President, VREA raised slogans against the Government for not redressing their long pending demands.
While speaking, Dev Raj Bali said that the Finance Department and RTC Management are harassing them.
“We are struggling for the last more than 7 years for our legitimate dues. We were promised that our dues will be cleared within 60 days, but till date nothing has been done.
He demanded COLA arrears pending since 1999, arrears of 6th Pay Commission due from January 1, 2006 and implementation of the Corporation benefits.
He appealed to the Lieutenant Governor to take cognizance of the matter and redressed their issues.
Among others present were Surinder Singh, Shiv Kumar, Surinder Kumar, Dhian Singh, Surjeet Singh, DN Sharma, etc.
