JAMMU, Apr 8: Accusing BJP leadership of launching misinformation campaign, senior Congress leader Ajay Tony today said that BJP’s falsehood exists no where on the ground and people will vote for the Congress party during the Lok Sabha elections.
In a statement, Mr Tony, former senior vice-president of Pradesh Youth Congress, said that divisive forces were hell bent on creating chaos and confusion among the people just to grab power. “The campaign launched by BJP is only aimed at befooling the people “, he added.
Asking the people to defeat the designs of BJP leadership, he said, “Congress party led by Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson, Sonia Gandhi and AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi, has led the country to the path of development and progress”, adding “people should keep in consideration the progress report of the Congress in mind while exercising their votes during the Parliament elections to counter the divisive moves of the BJP leadership”.
He appealed the people to vote in favour of Ghulam Nabi Azad, who is contesting elections from Udhampur-Doda parliamentary constituency and Madan Lal Sharma from Jammu-Poonch constituency.
