Shabir Khan seeks vote for coalition candidate

RAJOURI, Apr 8: Seeking vote for the coalition candidates, former Minister and MLA Shabir Ahmed Khan conducted a series of meetings at Alal, Thanamandi, Raina Mohalla, Hasplote, Saaj and other areas of his constituency.
He said that NC-Congress coalition always stood against the corruption and worked jointly to maintain peace and communal harmony in the State. He asserted that coalition candidate Madan Lal Sharma deserves to lead the Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency because of his impartial approach for all sections of society. No MP other than Madan Lal Sharma has ever interacted with the people of his constituency, he claimed.
Khan reiterated that Coalition Government ushered an era of peace, progress and development in the State and liberal funding from the Centre helped a lot in achieving the developmental targets. Citing the example of NRHM, he maintained that with the personal efforts of Ghulam Nabi Azad, funding for J&K State was doubled and instead of Rs  234 crore, J&K is now getting Rs 424 crore.
While praising Ghulam Nabi Azad, he said leader like the former with broad vision and impartial approach are born once in a century. Under the umbrella of Congress schemes like IAY, MGNREGA, PMGSY, Right to Food Bill, RTI Act and many more came into existence and   “Right to Health bill” shall also be passed if UPA-III will come in power, he said.
Khan said people from different communities must come forward on 10th of April to caste their vote in favour of coalition candidates for the development, peace and progress of the nation.
Others who spoke on the occasion were Shakeel Mir, Sain Abdul Rashid, Mirza Qayoom, Mushtaq Ahmed and Bashir Mir.
