VLCC to open skill development institute in J&K

JAMMU, Mar 12: Leading Indian beauty and wellness chain, VLCC will be focusing on skill development and is planning to open its first institute in J&K Union Territory soon.
VLCC institute is pioneer in imparting quality skill training in the beauty and wellness industry and it is staunch support of Government of India’s ‘Skill India’ mission.

A handout stated that VLCC has already trained over 52,000 students and presently there are 96 VLCC institutes of Beauty & Nutrition in India and Nepal.
Vandana Luthra, Founder & Co-Chairperson of VLCC group told reporters that Wellness & Beauty market size is over INR 90,000 cr.
“Wellness and beauty market is growing at a CAGR of 30 per cent, hence this industry is in need of skilled manpower which also brings the opportunity for many to be a part of this fast growing industry and upskill themselves to take up entrepreneurship,” she said.
Luthra also said that VLCC is currently operating from 6 centers in J&K- 4 in Jammu and 2 in Srinagar.
“We are planning to add 3 more Wellness centers and 3 more institutes in coming 18 months in J&K,” she maintained.
