Vistara to increase flights by March

NEW DELHI, Jan 24:  Tata-SIA joint venture carrier Vistara  has announced scaling up of operations and said it plans to operate 164 flights per week, besides adding Hyderabad and Goa routes by March, this year.
The airline, which commenced its flight services in the country early this month from three airports — Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad — operates 68 frequencies a week.    Vistara is scaling up and will operate 164 frequencies per  week by March 1, the airline said in a statement.    The announcement comes after recently airline said it was introducing additional frequencies on all the three existing routes from February 16.
The daily flights to Goa and a double daily to Hyderabad from Delhi will be launched from February 20 and March 1 respectively, the airline said.
Vistara Chief Executive Phee Teik Yeoh said: “We are  delighted to announce the expansion of our network with flights from Delhi to Hyderabad and Delhi to Goa. Both these cities offer huge potential in terms of passenger traffic. With the introduction of our new flights, we are in a strong position to enhance domestic air connectivity and provide the seamless and personalised Vistara experience to more customers in India.”    The airline currently has three Airbus-320 planes in its  fleet, which it plans take up to five by March.  (UNI)
