Viraj Kala Kendra, FFMA meet ‘Ashfaq Ullah Khan’

JAMMU, May 21: A literary programme was held here today in which members of Viraj Kala Kendra and Freedom Fighters Memorial Association (FFMA) shared their literary thoughts with the grandson of great freedom fighter, Ashfaq Ullah Khan.
The grandson also has name ‘Ashfaq Ullah Khan’ as it was the wish of Khan to name any male member of his future generation after him, and to pay respect to his words, grandson of the brother of Ashfaq was named after him because the freedom fighter was unmarried and had sacrificed his life for his nation.
The grandson threw light on the life of Ashfaq, his bravery and also on friendship of Ashfaq and Ram Prasad Bismil.
Rajneesh Gupta, member of Viraj Kala Kendra threw light on the life history of Dogra freedom fighter Comrade Dhanwantri who was an associate of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh.
S.S Bhalwal, president FFMA spoke about the achievements of their organization.
On this occasion Ved Gandotra, Prof. R.P Sharma, R.C Puri also expressed their views on patriotism.
Santosh Sangra, Meera Tapasvi, Pawan Verma, Tarun Charak and Amit Bhalla recited their poems on different aspects of life.
