Vinod Jaiswal is CGM SBI Chandigarh Circle

CHANDIGARH, July 4: Vinod Jaiswal has taken the charge of Chief General Manager (CGM) of State Bank of India (SBI) Chandigarh Circle which comprises Bank’s operations in States of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and UTs of Chandigarh, J&K and Ladakh, with 2000 plus branches/offices and 20,000 staff.
SBI Chandigarh Circle serves 2.74 crore customers with more than 3.85 crore customer accounts across these three States and equal number of Union Territories.
Jaiswal joined SBI services as a Probationary Officer in 1991 and held important positions in various fields in the Bank in his illustrious career of 31 years.
Prior to joining Chandigarh Circle, he was posted as General Manager in Chennai Circle.
Jaiswal took over the charge from Anukool Bhatnagar, who retired from the Bank’s services after attaining superannuation on June 30 this year.
Chandigarh Circle is the largest of 17 Circles of SBI across India and has a deposit base of Rs. 268245 crore and loans of Rs. 96758 crore, having market share of 23.40 percent in deposits and 18.13 percent in advances as on March 31, 2022.
SBI is the leading Bank of country for banking technology, financial inclusion and largest customer base.
In his first message to the staff after joining the Circle, Jaiswal emphasized upon upholding Bank’s core values of service, transparency, ethics, politeness and sustainability and delivering exemplary customer service.
