JAMMU, July 6: Rotarian Vinay Kapoor was today nominated as president of Rotary Club, Jammu Tawi by District Governor, Gurjeet Singh Sekhon.
Sekhon also nominated Rotarian Ashok Gupta as secretary of the Club while Rita Gupta was nominated as president, Inner Wheel Club.
In his address, Sekhon applauded the work done by outgoing president Rotarian Sunil Jain and assured his full cooperation to Rotary Club Jammu Tawi.
Rotarian Vinay Kapoor in his welcome address assured the District Governor that all members of the club will do their best to help the poor and needy person in the society.
He also introduced his team for the year 2014-2015, which included Subash Gandotra as vice-president, Raman Sheepuri as joint secretary, Deepak as Sgt at arms, Naveen as treasurer while AS Modi, Jatinder Gandhoh, Vihar Gupta, Joginder Abrol, Ravinder and Harish Gulati as directors.
Besides, three new members namely SSP Mirza, Dr Ram and Dr Sahil Jandyal were also inducted in the Club.
Meanwhile, Dushyant Choudhary was awarded as ‘Rotarian of the year’ award by outgoing president Sunil Jain. Presidents of various clubs of Jammu were also present on the occasion.
