UDHAMPUR, May 27: Up in arms against irregular of drinking water, locals of village Battal (Battal Balian) today protested against Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department
The protesting villagers raised slogans against the PHE and district authorities for paying no heed to the area, which has been facing acute scarcity of drinking water for the last three months.
They said that there was no regular supply of drinking water for the last three month. Even when the supply is made after a week or ten days, muddy water is supplied with the result that kids and elderly people are affected with intestinal problem, they explained.
The villagers threatened to block the main road if the concerned authorities do not address their problem.
