Govt should send formal invitation to Hurriyat: Vakil

SRINAGAR, May 27: President Jammu and Kashmir Bachao Tehreek and former minister Abdul Gani Vakil today said that the Government of India should send a formal invitation to Kashmiri separatists, if they are sincere in dialogue.
In a statement issued here, Vakil said making just a statement doesn’t make it a formal invitation. “The GoI should send a formal invitation to all the stakeholders especially separatists,” he said.
Reacting to the statement of Home Minister Rajnath Singh in which he had stated that they were ready for talks, Vakil said there has been never formal invitation from the Govt of India.
“Every time the statements have been made in the press. There has been no formal process,” he said.
The statements doesn’t make invitation they must send invitation if the Government of India mean it. Vakil, however, said it is a good sign. “We hail even the statements, but it should get the practical shape,” he added.
Lambasting at the mainstream parties, Vakil said PDP ad NC will not open their card.
“Both these parties have a secret pact for rotation of power. They would never wish this issue get resolved. They are responsible for lingering on this Kashmir. They are creating a double role,” he said.
Vakil said both these parties are happy with the status quo as they continue to play with the sentiments of people during power and out of power.
