Villagers protest for doctor, Ambulance at PHC Ghordi

UDHAMPUR, Jan 12: Demanding a doctor and Ambulance at Primary Health Centre (PPHC) Ghordi, local villagers today protested against the Health Department.
The protesting villagers raised slogans against the Health department and District Administration Udhampur for their failure to smoothly run the Primary Health Center (PHC), which has no doctor and Ambulance.
“The PHC Ambulance is lying defective for a long time and because of this, many people have lost their lives. Poor villagers in this area are forced to hire private vehicle for shifting patients in emergency,” they said and announced to continue the protest till their demand is conceded by the Government.
A protest was held under the chairmanship of Naib Sarpanch Ajay Padh along with Sunil Dutt, Bhim Singh, Ashish Sharma and Ganesh Prashar.
According to Dr K C Dogra, Chief Medical Officer Udhampur, the matter shall be brought into the notice of higher authority for redressal of the same as early as possible.
