RAJOURI, Dec 28: A large number of villagers from Kakora and Khaniyal Gali area today held protest demonstration in Manjakote area and blocked Rajouri-Poonch road for about 45 minutes.
Reports said the villagers came out on the road at Kakora near Manjakote during the day and started protest demonstration. They were shouting slogans against R&B authorities and the district administration for their failure to make Kakora-Khanyal Gali road functional. They disrupted movement of traffic on this road for about 45 minutes. They alleged that this road was constructed about 20 years back but till today it could not be made functional properly as R&B authorities failed to do repair work.
SHO Manjakote later reached the spot and assured the agitating people to take up the matter with the higher R&B authorities. The people then lifted dharna on the road.
