UDHAMPUR, Jan 22: Alleging failure of Public Health Engineering (PHE)/ Jal Shakti in providing adequate water supply to them, the residents of Panchayat Roun 2, Ward number 7 Udhampur today held a massive protest.
The protestors raised slogans against the PHE/ Jal Shakti Department and District administration Udhampur alleging no regular supply of drinking water for the last three year. “People of the area are suffering and dependent totally on natural sources of water with the result their normal life has been disturbed,” they said adding that the matter was brought into the notice of the concerned authorities but all remained in vain.
The protest demonstration was addressed by Gulam Nabi, Rajinder Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Mohan Lal and Geeta Devi.
