UDHAMPUR, Jan 12: Aggrieved over erratic power supply, particularly low voltage, villagers of Danota in Tehsil Panchari today protested against the Power Development Department.
The protesting villagers assembled under the leadership of Sarrpanch Danota, Shamsher Singh and raised slogans against PDD authorities.
They alleged poor supply of electricity in the area with low voltage and demanded replacement of the transformer with higher capacity. “Because of low voltage, the electric appliance don’t work and we are living virtually without electricity in the area,” they lamented and added that despite repeated pleas of the villagers to concerned authorities, no action has been taken.
